Our Team

R.E. MWIJAGE

Respicius E. Mwijage is a seasoned Tanzanian lawyer and an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and its subordinate courts. He is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East Africa Law Society, with over fifteen years of experience in tax law, tax administration, and tax dispute resolution. He has served as a Principal Resident Magistrate in the Judiciary and the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs for the Government of Tanzania. For the past fifteen consecutive years, Mwijage has also served as the Secretary to the Tax Revenue Appeals Board under the Ministry of Finance, playing a key role in the administration of tax appeals and the promotion of tax justice. Mwijage is committed to strengthening the rule of law and improving the effectiveness and integrity of Tanzania’s tax dispute resolution system.

S. NASSIBU

Sabiha Nassibu is an experienced legal professional with over ten years at the Tax Revenue Appeals Tribunal, Ministry of Finance, where she handled complex tax and regulatory matters. Admitted as an Advocate, Notary Public, and Commissioner for Oaths in 2012, she provides authoritative legal guidance and represents clients with precision and strategic insight. She is an active member of the Tanganyika Law Society, East Africa Law Society, and Zanzibar Law Society.

C. KAMUGISHA

Christopher Kamugisha is the Managing Partner at SARC Law Chambers. He was admitted to practice law in Tanzania in 2001. Prior to joining SARC Law Chambers, he served for five years as a State Attorney in the Attorney General’s Chambers, Ministry of Justice, Government of Tanzania.

O. Mushukuma

He is a Senior Associate at SARC Law Chambers with extensive experience in commercial litigation, arbitration, and corporate recovery. He previously served as a State Attorney at the Attorney General’s Chambers (2008–2009) and as a junior partner at CRB Africa Legal (2009–2015).

He has advised corporate clients on a wide range of high-profile matters, including recovery, receivership and administration of companies, arbitration proceedings, and finance and banking disputes. He also provides legal guidance on tax-related issues, corporate incorporation, company secretarial matters, and civil litigation arising from corporate and banking operations. His practice combines strategic legal advice with hands-on litigation and corporate advisory experience.

Waziri Magendo

Our senior tax staff with experience of more than three years, having performed a multitude of tax consultancies to various sectors of the economy ranging from banks, manufacturing, trading, educational, transportation, shipping, among others. Mr. Magendo is a B.Com graduate from the University of Dar es Salaam. In 2006 he joined the tax consultancy where he provided consultancy services to clients both local and multinational companies. Our team will have backup assistance from our in-house resources and may draw expertise from our vast network of associates within the industry and in academics. Waziri currently serves on the Public Finance committee of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

Amoni Rwiza

Amoni Rwiza is an Advocate with a strong litigation practice, known for handling complex civil and criminal matters with a particular focus on commercial disputes. He has extensive experience in Commercial Litigation, Labour Law, Land Law, Probate and Administration of Estates, and Debt Recovery, representing both individual and corporate clients in high-value and legally demanding cases, including arbitration and complex recovery actions. His practice is defined by precision, strategic case management, and a results-driven approach. Amoni provides legal advisory services to corporate institutions and private clients, offering practical legal solutions grounded in sound judgment and commercial awareness. He is regarded as a dependable advocate for clients seeking clear strategy, firm representation, and effective legal outcomes.

Hirji Abdallah

A renowned tax practitioner in Tanzania who serves on various technical committees in both the professional arena as well as in the public sector. Hirji worked for over 15 years with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) before joining professional tax consultancy. He has since worked in two of the top 5 firms in East Africa (Deloitte and PKF) where his clients included top multinationals in sectors such as banking, mining, trading and tourism. Hirji has been a resource person in many professional workshops and seminars and is one of the key trainers in taxation for CPA students. Hirji currently serves on the Public Finance committee of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
